{"id":4077,"date":"2014-11-16T15:20:52","date_gmt":"2014-11-16T15:20:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bakkah.net\/en\/?p=4077"},"modified":"2014-11-16T18:35:07","modified_gmt":"2014-11-16T18:35:07","slug":"do-not-refer-to-deviant-groups-using-their-tactfully-chosen-names-of-self-praise","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bakkah.net\/en\/do-not-refer-to-deviant-groups-using-their-tactfully-chosen-names-of-self-praise.htm","title":{"rendered":"Do not Refer to Deviant Groups Using Their Chosen Names of Self-Praise"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>In the Name of Allaah, the Most Compassionate, the Ever Merciful&#8230;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The following is important advice that should be heeded when\u00a0referring to deviant groups which refer to themselves\u00a0using praiseworthy terms, like:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Al-Ikhwaan al-Muslimoon<\/em> (The Muslim Brotherhood)<\/li>\n<li><em>Hizbollah<\/em> (The Party of Allaah)<\/li>\n<li>The Islamic State [of Iraq and Sham]\u00a0(IS, or ISIS)<\/li>\n<li>The Nation of Islam<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Muslims who follow the Quran, the Sunnah, and the way of the righteous Salaf, those who are truly <em>Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jamaa&#8217;ah<\/em>, reject these names, as they are not accurate nor acceptable as names for the intended deviant cults who oppose\u00a0Islam in their core\u00a0beliefs and\/or principles.<\/p>\n<p>For example,\u00a0Muslims who apply\u00a0Islaam in their lives are the true &#8216;Muslim Brotherhood&#8217;. It is not\u00a0appropriate to refer to an Egyptian political sect which opposes Islaam in\u00a0its basic methodology\u00a0with this name,<em> &#8216;al-Ikhwan al-Muslimoon&#8217;<\/em> (the Muslim Brotherhood). They are <strong>not<\/strong> the Muslim Brotherhood at all, but rather they are in fact opponents<!--more--> of the real Muslim brotherhood, since brotherhood in Islaam requires enjoining\u00a0the good, forbidding the evil, and returning affairs of differing back to the Book and the Sunnah for reconciliation. These essential principles (and many others) have been discarded by the sect which refers to\u00a0itself as <em>&#8220;al-Ikhwaan al-Muslimoon&#8221;<\/em> (the Muslim Brotherhood), in order to uphold their invented principle of &#8220;excusing each other from what they differ over&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Similar is the case of those deviants who refer to themselves with the other names mentioned, since the real\u00a0<em>Hizbollah<\/em> (the Party of Allaah) are only the chosen prophets and messengers and those who follow their guidance. The real &#8216;Nation of Islaam&#8217; is the <em>Ummah<\/em> of Muhammad (may Allaah raise his rank and grant him peace), not the followers of some fake prophet in America. The real &#8216;Islamic State&#8217; is where the Book and the Sunnah are the sources of governing law, not the deviant beliefs of the renegade\u00a0<em>Khawaarij<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Do not give deviants what they want. Do not consent to the use of the fluffy praise-laden names of honor they\u00a0wish to establish for themselves.\u00a0Do not allow them to hijack legitimate Islamic phrases. When you warn from\u00a0them,\u00a0try to consistently\u00a0indicate that Muslims do not accept these false labels,\u00a0by using phrases like the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The so-called\u00a0&#8220;Muslim Brotherhood&#8221;<\/li>\n<li><em>Al-Ikhwaan al-Muflisoon<\/em> (the Bankrupt Brotherhood)<\/li>\n<li>The falsely-named &#8220;Nation of Islam&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>The Nation of Kufr (Disbelief)<\/li>\n<li><em>Hizbo\u00a0Shaytaan\u00a0<\/em>(the Party of Satan)<\/li>\n<li>The <em>Khawaarij<\/em> State of Iraq and Sham<\/li>\n<li>The group which falsely refers to itself as<em> &#8216;Such-and-Such&#8217;<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This is very important because these names have legitimate meanings, and by using them without showing any contempt or displeasure, we indirectly endorse the usage of the name in a way that helps to legitimize\u00a0(at least the names of)\u00a0deviant groups\u00a0who oppose\u00a0Islaam.<\/p>\n<p>I recently asked my teacher, Shaykh <strong>Muhammad &#8216;Umar Baazmool<\/strong> (may Allaah preserve him), about this issue. As opposed to using the name which they want for themselves, without any\u00a0note (of disagreement)?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The shaykh (may Allaah bless him) responded by saying:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u0646\u0639\u0645 \u0647\u0630\u0627 \u0627\u0644\u0630\u064a \u064a\u0646\u0628\u063a\u064a\u060c \u0645\u0639\u0627\u0645\u0644\u0629 \u0644\u0647\u0645 \u0628\u062e\u0644\u0627\u0641 \u0645\u0642\u0635\u062f\u0647\u0645 \u0628\u0627\u0644\u062a\u0633\u0645\u064a\u0629 \u0627\u0644\u062a\u064a \u064a\u0637\u0644\u0642\u0648\u0646\u0647\u0627 \u0639\u0644\u0649 \u0627\u0646\u0641\u0633\u0647\u0645. \u0648\u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0627\u0644\u0645\u0648\u0641\u0642.<\/p>\n<p>Yes, this is what is appropriate, to deal with them in a way that opposes their goal in using those names for themselves.
