His written response included acknowledgment of benefitting (from me), and that he does not narrate it\u00a0except\u00a0with reference to me.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>And [Al-Haakim also said]: Abul-&#8216;Abbaas Muhammad ibn Ya&#8217;qoob al-Asamm [7]\u00a0narrated to them,\u00a0that al-&#8216;Abbaas ibn Muhammad ad-Dooree [8] said: I heard Aboo &#8216;Ubayd [9]\u00a0say:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Being thankful for knowledge means that you\u00a0take\u00a0benefit from someone, and then when asked about it, you say:<!--more--> This was\u00a0hidden from me and I did not have knowledge of it until So-and-So\u00a0benefitted me with it. (His name appears as &#8220;Abul-Hasan&#8221; in the printed passage, however this was likely misread from the manuscript or mistyped.) [<em>Siyar A&#8217;laam an-Nubalaa&#8217;<\/em>, 19\/213-216]<\/p>\n<p>[4] <strong>Aboo &#8216;Abdillaah as-Sooree [d.441]:<\/strong> Muhammad ibn &#8216;Alee Ash-Shaamee, one of the top, most reliable narrators of his time. [<em>Taareekh Baghdaad<\/em>, 3\/103, <em>Siyar A&#8217;laam<\/em>, 17\/627-631]<\/p>\n<p>[5]<strong> &#8216;Abdul-Ghanee ibn Sa&#8217;eed [d.409]:<\/strong> Al-Azdee, the imaam and great scholar of Egypt of his time. [<em>Siyar A&#8217;laam an-Nubalaa&#8217;<\/em>, 17\/268-273]<\/p>\n<p>[6] <strong>Al-Haakim [d.405]:<\/strong> Aboo &#8216;Abdillaah Muhammad ibn Ahmad an-Naysaabooree, the great imaam of the hadeeth scholars of his era, the author of <em>Al-Mustadrak<\/em>, one of the Saheeh hadeeth compilations.<\/p>\n<p>[7] <strong>Abul-&#8216;Abbaas Muhammad ibn Ya&#8217;qoob al-Asamm [d.346]:<\/strong> An-Naysaabooree, another highly reliable and respected\u00a0imaam of hadeeth. [<em>Siyar A&#8217;laam an-Nubalaa&#8217;<\/em> 15\/452-460]<\/p>\n<p>[8] <strong>&#8216;Abbaas ibn Muhammad ad-Dooree [d.271];<\/strong> Abul-Fadhl al-Baghdaadee, a reliable narrator, a famous student of Yahyaa ibn Ma&#8217;een. [<em>Taqreeb at-Tah-theeb<\/em>, p.488]<\/p>\n<p>[9] <strong>Aboo &#8216;Ubayd al-Qaasim ibn Sallaam<\/strong> <strong>[d.224]:<\/strong> al-Baghdaadee, the famous and highly-reliable scholar and author. [<em>Taqreeb at-Tah-theeb<\/em>, p.791]<\/p>\n<p>[10] Moosaa Richardson originally learned this point of benefit from his shaykh, Muhammad ibn &#8216;Umar Baazmool (may Allaah preserve him),\u00a0about ten years ago.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.bakkah.net\/interactive\/q&amp;a\/aamb080-copyrights-translations-intellectual-property.htm\" target=\"_blank\"><em>[as found here]<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">[*] This article originally included some speech from Jamaal ad-Deen al-Qaasimee in his book, Qawaa&#8217;id at-Tahdeeth, as well as some praise for the book attributed to Shaykh Al-Albaanee. After review, al-Qaasimee was found to have honored and promoted people of severe deviation, like Muhyiud-Deen Ibn &#8216;Arabee, and\u00a0a number\u00a0of the Jahmiyyah, after claiming that the heretical sect included\u00a0a strain of upright\u00a0adherents!
