{"id":3632,"date":"2014-01-09T06:07:06","date_gmt":"2014-01-09T06:07:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bakkah.net\/en\/?p=3632"},"modified":"2014-06-19T08:34:09","modified_gmt":"2014-06-19T08:34:09","slug":"once-they-replace-our-scholars-where-will-they-take-us","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bakkah.net\/en\/once-they-replace-our-scholars-where-will-they-take-us.htm","title":{"rendered":"Once they replace our scholars, where will they take us?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>In the Name of Allaah, the Most Gracious, the Ever Merciful&#8230;<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Yasir Qadhi<\/strong>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bakkah.net\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/yasir-qadhi-twitter-theologian-scholar.jpg\" target=\"_blank\">self-proclaimed scholar<\/a> and Dean of\u00a0Academic Affairs at <a title=\"AlMaghrib Institute and Kamal el-Mekki Still Using Magic Openly to Sell Tickets to their Events\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bakkah.net\/en\/almaghrib-institute-and-kamal-el-mekki-still-using-magic-openly-to-sell-tickets-to-their-events.htm\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Almaghrib Institute<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0has recently become even more active in requesting the general Muslims to keep away from the scholars of Islaam, and to\u00a0rely completely on Westernized and apologetic preachers like himself and those\u00a0connected to\u00a0his Almaghrib Institute, those currently being set up as replacements for the actual scholars of Islaam.<\/p>\n<p>In a recent speech about &#8220;modernity&#8221; in December of 2013, Yasir Qadhi\u00a0tells stories of the &#8220;stupidity&#8221; of the scholars of Islaam throughout history, and how their\u00a0rigidity and lack of connection to the people\u00a0has always\u00a0kept Islaam and the Muslims from progress.<\/p>\n<p>After laying down the foundations for the scholars to be viewed as a bunch of clowns\u00a0to be\u00a0laughed at, he introduces a shining brand of &#8220;scholars&#8221; who are forward-thinking and actively connected to the people. <em><strong>Who are they?<\/strong><\/em> They are the deviant political activists of the Muslim lands, those the scholars of Islaam have warned against time and time again, the likes of <strong>Hassan al-Bannaa<\/strong>, founder of\u00a0the<strong> al-Ikhwaan al-Muslimoon<\/strong> Sect,\u00a0and Saudi activist\u00a0<strong>Salman al-&#8216;Owdah<\/strong>, whom Yasir praises\u00a0highly as a &#8220;forward-thinking realistic scholar&#8221;. Also\u00a0fanatically\u00a0promoted is <strong>Yusuf Al-Qaradawi<\/strong>, in the words of Yasir Qadhi:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>One of our main reference points<\/li>\n<li>A towering intellectual genius [!]<\/li>\n<li>Somebody who understands the Sharee\u2019ah and its applicability in modern times<\/li>\n<li>An &#8216;aalim (scholar) with unrivaled<!--more--> scholarship [!]<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The reader would do well to learn what one of the most outstanding critics of our time, <strong>Shaykh Muqbil al-Waadi&#8217;ee<\/strong> (may Allaah have Mercy on him), said about the reality of this inflated Ikhwani figurehead. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bakkah.net\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/The-Decisive-Word-on-Yusuf-Al-Qaradawi.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">[Click here]<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The clearest goal of the lecture can be found in\u00a0Yasir Qadhi&#8217;s\u00a0explicit advice for the Muslims, already admittedly disconnected from the scholars, to <strong>not refer<\/strong> to scholars overseas, but rather to rely on &#8220;local scholars&#8221; who understand our\u00a0lives and our societies!\u00a0He says:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8230;You cannot get a fatwaa about living in a secular democracy from somebody who has never lived in a secular democracy. You cannot get a fatwaa about how to interact with your homosexual neighbor\u00a0when a person\u00a0has never met a homosexual in his life&#8230;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>Source:<\/strong> His December 7, 2013 lecture in Detroit entitled <em>&#8220;Looking Back as We Look Forward&#8221;<\/em> (at about 52 minutes into the recording).<\/p>\n<p>If you are paying attention to what Yasir Qadhi is saying here, and Allaah has blessed your intellect with balance and\u00a0understanding, you should be able to see\u00a0his goal becoming\u00a0very clear &#8211; <em><strong>Replacing the DISTANT scholars of Islaam with his LOCAL team of brazen forward-thinking Almaghrib Institute instructors.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">EXPOSED:<\/span> Attempts to Disqualify the Most Qualified\u00a0Scholars on Earth<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Our senior-most scholars, those we\u00a0return to for the most important\u00a0matters of how to apply our Religion in our lives,\u00a0do not live in secular democracies, and that is a reality. Yasir Qadhi seems to think he actually possesses the authority to disqualify and dismiss the senior, most\u00a0needed\u00a0scholars of Islaam, right out of the lives of the Western Muslims, based on his own personal baseless rhetoric.<\/p>\n<p>This\u00a0misguided claim that we <strong>&#8220;CANNOT&#8221;<\/strong> get a fatwaa from someone who does not live with us stands in stark opposition to the understanding of the Messenger of Allaah (may Allaah raise his rank and grant him peace) and his Companions. The Prophet sent Mu&#8217;aath ibn Jabal to Yemen and instructed him on how to deal with\u00a0the people of Yemen, without ever having lived there. He sent important messages addressing the kings and authorities of different lands, without having lived in their lands. He even gave verdicts about homosexuals, and I wonder if Yasir would like to try\u00a0to prove that the Prophet (may Allaah raise his rank and grant him peace)\u00a0met and interacted with an open\u00a0homosexual!<\/p>\n<p>We could agree that if two equally qualified scholars spoke\u00a0on an issue relevant to\u00a0a certain land or culture, then we would give precedence to the one who knows more about that land or culture. But\u00a0what is the relationship between this understandable distinction\u00a0and replacing the scholars of Islam with a\u00a0group of TV personalities, entertainers,\u00a0storytellers, self-proclaimed scholars, and magicians?!<\/p>\n<p><strong>The &#8220;Fiqh al-Waaqi'&#8221;\u00a0Scam Revived<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In reality, this is just another modern rehashing of the Qutbi fanaticism (<em>ghuluw<\/em>)\u00a0regarding\u00a0<em>&#8220;Fiqh al-Waaqi'&#8221;<\/em> (the Fiqh of current affairs). Over the last few decades, it has been a tool by which aspiring political activists would gain popularity with the people, speaking about matters that are in today&#8217;s\u00a0newspapers and TV news reports. While the real scholars of Islaam were taking careful steps to verify and investigate news reports before speaking, the opportunistic political activists\u00a0(the likes of Salman al-&#8216;Owdah,\u00a0one of Yasir&#8217;s &#8220;forward-thinking&#8221; shaykhs) would\u00a0use that period of time to blame the senior scholars for\u00a0<strong>neglecting<\/strong> the needs of the people, and claim they were forced to speak since the scholars were silent, leaving the people in the dark, as they would twist it.<\/p>\n<p>Honest everyday people were tricked into thinking their scholars were not concerned with the current state of the Ummah, and the only ones who really care are those who (recklessly) speak about\u00a0today&#8217;s\u00a0headlines!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.spubs.com\/sps\/sp.cfm?subsecID=MNJ08&amp;articleID=MNJ080003&amp;articlePages=1\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Resource:<\/strong> Shaykh Saalih al-Fowzaan on <em>Fiqh al-Waaqi&#8217;<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Reality of the &#8220;Don&#8217;t Outsource&#8221; Plea<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>After\u00a0attempting to disqualify the scholars of Islaam from their\u00a0rightful ranks, Yasir Qadhi then encourages the local Detroit audience to refer to<strong> the many scholars available in Detroit [?]<\/strong>, instead of &#8220;outsourcing&#8221; their fatwaas to scholars outside of the country (who he believes are unqualified to speak about our issues)! This discouragement of &#8220;outsourcing fatwaas&#8221; is\u00a0a clever\u00a0new twist to the old<em> &#8220;Fiqh al-Waaqi'&#8221;<\/em> scam, a new\u00a0face to the old scheme\u00a0to replace the scholars of Islaam.<\/p>\n<p>This is the culmination of\u00a0the\u00a0&#8220;action plan&#8221; in his concluding summary, that Muslims should not refer to the scholars outside of their country, but rather get their fatwaas from &#8220;local scholars&#8221;, basically cementing the modernist re-invention of the word &#8220;scholar&#8221; to include anyone who speaks on behalf of Islaam and can\u00a0produce\u00a0some kind of certificate from a\u00a0collegiate program\u00a0of study (i.e. Almaghrib Institute instructors).<\/p>\n<p>Students of knowledge in the West have warned the Muslims for years that <strong>Yasir Qadhi and his associates\u00a0seek to pinch the Muslims\u00a0off from their scholars.<\/strong> The accuracy of those\u00a0warnings has now become abundantly clear to all who wish to be balanced, and we hope that our brothers and sisters will take heed.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Modernists&#8217; Plot to Replace the Scholars of Islaam<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It seems to be that preachers in the West gain an audience and become popular, and then instead of helping their followers get connected to the scholars of Islam and thus &#8211; true knowledge, they enjoy becoming the reference point themselves, and basically attempt to take the place of the scholars.\u00a0And it happens on different levels, beginning\u00a0among their followers, in their circles.<\/p>\n<p>In the lecture, Yasir Qadhi emphasizes\u00a0the\u00a0fact\u00a0that today&#8217;s common Muslims are not well-connected to their scholars. While this is true, and it is a serious problem,\u00a0his expressions of this concept are cleverly\u00a0worded to place blame on the scholars specifically, not the common people or the students who should be bridging that gap! He blames the scholars themselves\u00a0for not being connected to the everyday Muslims, and then proceeds to foster\u00a0this disconnection and cement it,\u00a0instead of repairing it and\u00a0advising the Muslims to return to their scholars, which would be quite easy for an articulate student of knowledge who truly wants to help the Muslims improve their condition.<\/p>\n<p>With the real scholars out of the picture,\u00a0it is just as the Prophet (may Allaah raise his rank and grant him peace) predicted, they give fatwaas based upon\u00a0ignorance, whilst they are misguided themselves, leading others into misguidance.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>\u0627\u062a\u0651\u064e\u062e\u064e\u0630\u064e \u0627\u0644\u0646\u0651\u064e\u0627\u0633\u064f \u0631\u064f\u0624\u0648\u0633\u064b\u0627 \u062c\u064f\u0647\u0651\u064e\u0627\u0644\u064b\u0627\u060c \u0641\u064e\u0633\u064f\u0626\u0650\u0644\u064f\u0648\u0627 \u0641\u064e\u0623\u064e\u0641\u0652\u062a\u064e\u0648\u0652\u0627 \u0628\u0650\u063a\u064e\u064a\u0652\u0631\u0650 \u0639\u0650\u0644\u0652\u0645\u064d\u060c \u0641\u064e\u0636\u064e\u0644\u0651\u064f\u0648\u0627 \u0648\u064e\u0623\u064e\u0636\u064e\u0644\u0651\u064f\u0648\u0627<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>&#8220;&#8230;The people would take ignorant people as their (religious) leaders, and they would be asked and respond with fatwaas without knowledge, going astray themselves, leading others astray.&#8221;<\/strong> [Bukhari &amp; Muslim]<\/p>\n<p>How else did <strong>the magic of Pharaoh&#8217;s magicians<\/strong> become perfectly permissible,\u00a0or even\u00a0a recommended tool\u00a0for giving da&#8217;wah!? <a title=\"AlMaghrib Institute and Kamal el-Mekki Still Using Magic Openly to Sell Tickets to their Events\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bakkah.net\/en\/almaghrib-institute-and-kamal-el-mekki-still-using-magic-openly-to-sell-tickets-to-their-events.htm\" target=\"_blank\">[clarified here]<\/a><\/p>\n<p>How else did <strong>Marijuana<\/strong> become permissible for medical purposes!? <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bakkah.net\/en\/ibn-taymiyyah-on-using-haraam-substances-as-medical-treatments.htm\" target=\"_blank\">[clarified here]<\/a><\/p>\n<p>How else did the majority of the Muslims (even when they are misguided) become<strong> the yardstick<\/strong> by which to judge others&#8217; guidance!? <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bakkah.net\/en\/avoiding-the-misguided-sects-the-prophetic-solution.htm\" target=\"_blank\">[clarified here]<\/a><\/p>\n<p>How else did <strong>the Ja&#8217;fari math-hab<\/strong> of the Iranian Raafidhah Cult become a perfectly legitimate math-hab? <a href=\"http:\/\/yusufestesquran.com\/2013\/06\/07\/yusuf-estes-in-malaysia-2008-deviant-groups-salafis-and-the-five-math-habs-including-jafari\/\" target=\"_blank\">[clarified here]<\/a><\/p>\n<p>We ask Allaah to cause our brothers and sisters to\u00a0wake up to these plots, and to open their eyes to the games of these unworthy and incapable &#8220;replacements&#8221; for the scholars of Islaam.<\/p>\n<p><strong>NEW:<\/strong> Shaykh Saalih al-Fowzaan exposes the reality of this plot <a title=\"Shaykh Saalih al-Fowzaan on Statements of Yasir Qadhi\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bakkah.net\/en\/shaykh-saalih-al-fowzaan-on-the-reality-of-yasir-qadhi.htm\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>here<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Beware of\u00a0Almaghrib Institute and its Instructors<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As Yasir Qadhi is <strong>&#8220;the man behind the curriculum&#8221;<\/strong> at Almaghrib Institute, as they openly declare <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bakkah.net\/en\/?p=3635\" target=\"_blank\">(see this)<\/a>, it is from our of love for the Muslims and their guidance that we beseech them to be on guard against the plots of this group and more specifically its card-carrying members.<\/p>\n<p>The following is a list of\u00a0official Almaghrib instructors\u00a0taken directly from their\u00a0institute&#8217;s website:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Muhammad Alshareef<\/li>\n<li>Waleed Basyouni<\/li>\n<li>Yaser Birjas<\/li>\n<li>Yasir Qadhi<\/li>\n<li>Abu Eesa Niamatullah<\/li>\n<li>Abdullah Hakim Quick<\/li>\n<li>Omar Suleiman<\/li>\n<li>Kamal El Mekki<\/li>\n<li>Reda Bedeir<\/li>\n<li>Riad Ouarzazi<\/li>\n<li>Saad Tasleem<\/li>\n<li>Abdulbary Yahya<\/li>\n<li>Ahsan Hanif<\/li>\n<li>Navaid Aziz<\/li>\n<li>Said Rageah<\/li>\n<li>Mohammed Faqih<\/li>\n<li>Yasmin Mogahed<\/li>\n<li>Abdul Nasir Jangda<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All of the above\u00a0instructors willingly work under the Almaghrib Institute curriculum designed and\/or supervised by Yasir Qadhi.
