{"id":2674,"date":"2013-04-23T10:54:09","date_gmt":"2013-04-23T10:54:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bakkah.net\/en\/?p=2674"},"modified":"2013-04-23T11:01:14","modified_gmt":"2013-04-23T11:01:14","slug":"upright-character-smiling-ayyoob-sikhtiyaanee","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bakkah.net\/en\/upright-character-smiling-ayyoob-sikhtiyaanee.htm","title":{"rendered":"Smiles of the Great Predecessors: The Upright Character of Ayyoob as-Sikhtiyaanee"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>In the Name of Allaah&#8230;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The great imam of the early Muslims, Aboo Bakr <strong>Ayyoob as-Sikhtiyaanee<\/strong> (d.131) &#8211; may Allaah have mercy on him &#8211; , was known for his great knowledge, personal piety, and outstanding manners.<\/p>\n<p>One of his students and an imam in his own right, Hammaad ibn Zayd (d.179), said about him:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u0645\u064e\u0627 \u0631\u064e\u0623\u064e\u064a\u0652\u062a\u064f \u0631\u064e\u062c\u064f\u0644\u0627\u064b \u0642\u064e\u0637\u0651\u064f \u0623\u064e\u0634\u064e\u062f\u0651\u064e \u062a\u064e\u0628\u064f\u0633\u0651\u064f\u0645\u0627\u064b \u0641\u0650\u064a \u0648\u064e\u062c\u064f\u0648\u0652\u0647\u0650 \u0627\u0644\u0631\u0651\u0650\u062c\u064e\u0627\u0644\u0650 \u0645\u0650\u0646\u0652 \u0623\u064e\u064a\u0651\u064f\u0648\u0652\u0628\u064e<br \/>\nI have not seen a man dedicated to smiling in the faces of the people more than Ayyoob!<\/p>\n<p>From the completeness of a Muslim&#8217;s character is his pleasant attitude around the Muslims, his smile, positivity, and cheerfulness.\u00a0 Ayyoob as-Sikhtiyaanee was exemplary in this.<\/p>\n<p>Hammaad also said about him:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\" dir=\"RTL\" align=\"RIGHT\">\u0623\u064e\u064a\u0651\u064f\u0648\u0652\u0628\u064f \u0639\u0650\u0646\u0652\u062f\u0650\u064a \u0623\u064e\u0641\u0652\u0636\u064e\u0644\u064f \u0645\u064e\u0646\u0652 \u062c\u064e\u0627\u0644\u064e\u0633\u062a\u064f\u0647\u064f\u060c \u0648\u064e\u0623\u064e\u0634\u064e\u062f\u0651\u064f\u0647\u0645 \u0627\u062a\u0651\u0650\u0628\u064e\u0627\u0639\u0627\u064b \u0644\u0650\u0644\u0633\u0651\u064f\u0646\u0651\u064e\u0629\u0650<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">To me, Ayyoob was the best person I ever sat with and the most devout of them in following the Sunnah!<\/p>\n<p>From the Sunnah is balance, and Ayyoob was balanced.\u00a0\u00a0This great imam\u00a0would not waste his smile\u00a0on the people of deviation.\u00a0\u00a0The same jovial\u00a0and pleasant\u00a0attitude would turn to contempt and disdain\u00a0at the mention of innovators.\u00a0\u00a0One of them would try to open a discussion with him, saying, <em>&#8220;O Abaa Bakr, let me ask you about just one word?&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>He would say:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u0648\u064e\u0644\u0627\u064e \u0646\u0650\u0635\u0652\u0641\u0650 \u0643\u064e\u0644\u0650\u0645\u064e\u0629\u064d \u0648\u064e\u0644\u0627\u064e \u0646\u0650\u0635\u0652\u0641\u0650 \u0643\u064e\u0644\u0650\u0645\u064e\u0629\u064d<br \/>\nNot even half a word, not even half a word!<\/p>\n<p>All of the previous quotes can be found in his biography in the book,\u00a0<em>Siyar A&#8217;laam an-Nubalaa&#8217;<\/em> (6\/15-23) of ath-Thahabee.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>This is the balance of Islaam.<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0 Muslims are not to smile in the faces of those who corrupt and polute the teachings of the Religion.\u00a0 Islaam is to love and hate for the sake of Allaah.
