{"id":2110,"date":"2012-05-27T02:49:11","date_gmt":"2012-05-27T02:49:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bakkah.net\/en\/?p=2110"},"modified":"2012-05-25T03:54:18","modified_gmt":"2012-05-25T03:54:18","slug":"upset-with-the-qadr-of-allah","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bakkah.net\/en\/upset-with-the-qadr-of-allah.htm","title":{"rendered":"A Real Eye-Opener: Upset with the Qadr of Allaah!?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>In the Name of Allaah&#8230;<\/em><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Most people entertain bad thoughts about Allaah regarding\u00a0their own personal situations and\u00a0the situations of\u00a0others.\u00a0 The only ones\u00a0who remain\u00a0safe\u00a0from this are those who truly know Allaah, His Names, His Attributes, and what\u00a0His Wisdom and Right to\u00a0be\u00a0praised really entails.<\/p>\n<p>So let every sincere, sound-minded individual focus on himself regarding this, and then repent to Allaah and seek His Forgiveness from\u00a0the negative notions he entertains\u00a0about his Lord.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Look closely at anyone!\u00a0<\/strong> You will find that people become upset with Qadr and blame things on it, saying that, &#8220;It should have been this way or that way&#8230;&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Some people behave this way only rarely, others more commonly!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Inspect yourself &#8211; Are you innocent!?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>If you are saved from it, you are safe from something terrible&#8230;\u00a0<\/em><br \/>\n<em>But really, I doubt you are even safe!<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\">-Ibn al-Qayyim<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>This is a passage from the great writings of al-&#8216;Allaamah Ibn Qayyim al-Jowziyyah, as quoted in the book, <em>Kitaab at-Towheed<\/em>, by Shaykh Muhammad ibn &#8216;Abdil-Wahhaab.<\/p>\n<p>This passage was an explanation of some Qur&#8217;aanic verses exposing the notions and ill assumptions of the hypocrites after the defeat suffered at the Battle of Uhud.\u00a0 It is absolutely amazing how this great scholar tied the\u00a0filthy\u00a0beliefs of the hypocrites\u00a0to our own hearts and actions, and guided us to take a an important personal lesson from the hidden enemies of Islaam and their false notions about the Wisdom of Allaah and His Qadr.<\/p>\n<p>From the attributes of the hypocrites is that they do not submit to the Qadr of Allaah, instead they find fault with it, and claim that things would have been better had they been in charge of the affair!<\/p>\n<p>Review <em>Soorah Aal &#8216;Imraan<\/em> (3:154).<\/p>\n<p>Ibn al-Qayyim said, <em><strong>&#8220;Inspect yourself &#8211; Are you innocent?!&#8221;<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>I remind myself and my brothers and sisters in Islaam to sincerely think about the following statements and ponder over how distant we are from them in reality:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>&#8220;That&#8217;s just great!\u00a0 This is why I hate Mondays!&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;What is wrong with this laptop?\u00a0 Another virus!!\u00a0 And of course this would happen NOW,\u00a0when I have all this\u00a0important work to finish!!&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;The car seems to break down every time I&#8217;m running late!&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;My stupid cellphone keeps shutting down&#8230;!&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;Oh great!\u00a0 One more red light!\u00a0 As if I&#8217;m not late enough!&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;I stoved my toe on that stupid table!&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These small everyday trials we face and the emotions we react with are all part of our\u00a0personal test. \u00a0Our reactions, beliefs, and statements are all being recorded!<\/p>\n<p>With the above mentioned complaints and reactions, who are we actually\u00a0displeased with?\u00a0 We know that the table didn&#8217;t do anything to our toe, right?\u00a0 We know that cars, cellphones, and laptops don&#8217;t actually choose to do things to harm us in reality, right?<\/p>\n<p>So then, again &#8211; <strong>WHO or WHAT are we really displeased with<\/strong> when uttering these kinds of statements?<\/p>\n<p>We desperately need our spouses, friends, and companions to remind us, quite simply, with the following question:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><strong>Are you\u00a0unhappy with the Qadr of Allaah?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Let us replace the bad reactions mentioned with the very best guidance available, the guidance of the Prophet\u00a0Muhammad (<em>sallallaahu &#8216;alayhe wa sallam<\/em>):<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>\u0648\u0625\u0646 \u0623\u0635\u0627\u0628\u0643 \u0634\u064a\u0621 \u0641\u0644\u0627 \u062a\u0642\u0644 \u0644\u0648 \u0623\u0646\u064a \u0641\u0639\u0644\u062a \u0643\u0630\u0627 \u0644\u0643\u0627\u0646 \u0643\u0630\u0627 \u0648\u0643\u0630\u0627 \u0644\u0643\u0646 \u0642\u0644 \u0642\u062f\u0631 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0648\u0645\u0627 \u0634\u0627\u0621 \u0641\u0639\u0644&#8230;<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>&#8220;&#8230;And if\u00a0something (bad) befalls you, do not say, &#8216;Had I only done such-and-such, then such-and-such would have happened, rather say: <em>Qadrullaahi, wa maa shaa&#8217;
