{"id":1903,"date":"2011-12-25T07:35:33","date_gmt":"2011-12-25T07:35:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bakkah.net\/en\/?p=1903"},"modified":"2016-09-20T12:00:47","modified_gmt":"2016-09-20T12:00:47","slug":"biography-shaykh-saalih-ibn-abdil-azeez-aal-ash-shaykh","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bakkah.net\/en\/biography-shaykh-saalih-ibn-abdil-azeez-aal-ash-shaykh.htm","title":{"rendered":"Biography: Shaykh Saalih ibn &#8216;Abdil-&#8216;Azeez Aal ash-Shaykh"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>In the Name of Allaah, the Most Merciful&#8230; <\/em><\/p>\n<p>From a\u00a0family of grounded knowledge, <strong>Shaykh Saalih ibn &#8216;Abdil-&#8216;Azeez Aal ash-Shaykh<\/strong> is the grandson of the\u00a0great scholar, Shaykh Muhammad ibn Ibraaheem Aal\u00a0ash-Shaykh (d.1389).\u00a0 Shaykh Muhammad was the grandson of Shaykh &#8216;Abdur-Rahmaan ibn Hasan (d.1285), the author of <em>Fat-hul-Majeed<\/em>, an outstanding\u00a0explanation of <em>Kitaab at-Towheed<\/em> of his grandfather, Shaykh al-Islaam Muhammad ibn &#8216;Abdil-Wahhaab (d.1206).\u00a0 May Allaah have Mercy on all of them.<\/p>\n<p>He was born and raised\u00a0in Riyadh in 1378 (1958 on the Christian calendar).\u00a0 He studied Quran Sciences at Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University, where his exceptional level of knowledge stood out, and thus he became a teacher there\u00a0and taught for about 15 years.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>In 1416 (1995), he was appointed as the Deputy Minister of Islamic Affairs in Saudi Arabia.\u00a0 Shortly after that, in 1420, he was made the Minister of Islamic Affairs.\u00a0 He has held this position until today, by Allaah&#8217;s Grace.<\/p>\n<p>The shaykh has studied under some great scholars of recent times, the likes of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Shaykh &#8216;Abdul-&#8216;Azeez ibn Baaz<\/li>\n<li>Shaykh Hammaad al-Ansaaree<\/li>\n<li>Shaykh &#8216;Abdullaah al-&#8216;Aqeel<\/li>\n<li>Shaykh &#8216;Abdullaah ibn Ghudayyaan<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Shaykh Saalih is known for his many lessons and explanations of books, the recordings of which are widely available and of great benefit to students of knowledge.\u00a0 His clear and proper Arabic coupled with his vast knowledge and clear Salafee approach make these recordings an invaluable resource for the Muslims in general.<\/p>\n<p>One\u00a0example of these amazing recordings would be: <strong><em><a title=\"Benefits from the Life and Works of Imam Ahmad \u2013 Index of Articles\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bakkah.net\/en\/benefits-from-the-life-and-works-of-imam-ahmad-index-of-articles.htm\">Benefits from the Life and Works of Imaam Ahmad<\/a><\/em><\/strong>, a simple, yet extremely rich lecture he gave, called <em>Min Ma&#8217;een al-Imaam Ahmad<\/em>,\u00a0quoting the various students of Ahmad ibn Hanbal, and their statements about his life, and highlighting the importance of those statements as real lessons\u00a0we can implement.
